Axure is pronounced "ak shûr". An "ack" followed by the word "sure". There's no meaning behind it other than it's become synonymous with prototyping.

Each license can be used by the named user on two computers (two PCs, two Macs or one of each).

To transfer the license key, first reset the key on the old computer using Help -> Reset License Key. On the new computer, install and run Axure RP. Bring up

the Welcome Screen (Help -> Welcome Screen and Licensing in the main menu) and click on the "Register" link under "Licensing". Enter the same licensee

name and key as you used on your old machine.

To request a 30 day extension on your trial, please send an email to support@axure.com.

Your clients don't need Axure RP unless they will be editing the file. They can view prototypes in popular browsers as described in the Interactive Prototypes 

article and view specifications in Microsoft Word. If they need to make changes to the file, they will need an Axure RP license.

          • Screenshots are very helpful, and videos can be even better. Try using Jing for quick videos or screenshots.
